Stretch Solution: Kneeling Hip Flexor Stretch
How to preform the kneeling hip flexor stretch:
- Kneel on one knee creating a 90° angle with the opposite hip. Use a chair for extra support.
- While maintaining a straight lower back, drive your hips forward your lower back and transfer your weight forward until you feel a gentle stretch on the anterior aspect of your hip of the lower leg.
- Maintain the position and relax.
- Hold for 30 seconds each side.
Pro tip:
Set a timer once per hour to remind you to get up out of your chair. Scheduling regular work breaks to perform 1-2 minutes of this will help release some tension.
